Shinju steps into a trendy fashion boutique in the upscale part of town. Her usual style of dress– casual, tomboyish– sticks out, and she knows it. No big deal. She’s been out of place plenty of times in her life. She pushes past the racks of stylish clothing, looking for someone. She checks her phone. It’s the right store. She heads to the back, in search of more employees.

Niko: Hey there! … Eh, g-good afternoon. Can I help you find what you’re looking for?

Shinju: Oh! (she lowers her voice) Show me the trendiest and most fashionable… shirt you’ve got!

Niko: A shirt? Like, a dress shirt for formal occasions? Or do you mean, like, a blouse, or a T-shi—Shinju!

Shinju: W-wow, I thought for sure you knew it was me and were just playing along. Heyo!

Niko: I-I just didn’t expect to see you here on my first day. What do you think?

Shinju: So trendy… yeah, you’re definitely a better fit for this than I would be.

Niko: H-Honestly, this place might be too trendy even for me. I don’t think many of the folks who shop here wanna listen to advice from a girl fresh outta high school.

Shinju: They should! It’s the young people who are at the forefront of fashion! … You won’t get in trouble for stopping to talk to me, right? Don’t want to make trouble for you on your first day. y.

Niko: I-I’m just talking to a customer, that’s… customer service, right?

Shinju: As long as they don’t find out you know me, and that I’m not rich enough to shop here.

Niko: We have clothes for all budgets! Could I interest you in… a pair of socks?

Shinju: Those had better be some golden socks if that’s all I can afford…

Niko: Ew, tacky! (she chuckles) I bet I could fix you a discount, though. Hmm… (she turns towards the nearest shelf, looking at the various tops on display) Besides, trying some things on wouldn’t hurt, right?

Shinju: Well, don’t get into trouble for me. As long as we don’t do that, I’m good.

Niko: You should try this on, then! And this! Oh, and this! (she starts piling clothes off the shelves into Shinju’s arms)

Shinju: (Struggling to hold the mounting pile of clothes) R-remember I’m just ol’ Shinju! I don’t think I can be dolled up too much.
