Holding a small scrap of paper, Koharu wanders into class 3-2, paying the other students who’ve already arrived at their new classroom for the year no mind and claiming her usual seat in the back. Unfortunately, her entrance has not gone unnoticed, with some girls gathered around a desk in the front trading mutters and knowing glances with each other.
Hanako’s entry comes soon after, the muttering going quiet with a knowing glance from her as she passes. Once she makes her way past, the muttering starts again, though Hanako pays no mind as she finds Koharu’s usual seat.
Hanako: It looks like we’re together again this year, Koharu.
Koharu: That’s… a relief. Failed to even consider the possibility we might have ended up in separate classes.
Shinju: (Shinju comes in, all smiles, She jumps into her seat with a bounce) You know, this is the first time I’ve ever been in the same class with friends from year to year! I’d either be separated or move away every other year!
Hanako: Oh! The three of us are all together again, how wonderful~
Koharu: Must’ve been able to find a replacement for last year’s homeroom teacher, then. Class might’ve been split up otherwise.
Hanako: (She takes her own seat near Koharu and Shinju’s seats) Ah, that’s right. Do we know who our homeroom teacher is this year?
Shinju: Hopefully not the same one. I was getting a little tired of hearing about her dogs instead of the lesson…
Hanako: It could be worse… in middle school, I had one that kept talking about her failed relationships… and she went out quite a bit. I especially felt bad for the boys in our class that year. I-It isn’t relevant to the lesson to know whether or not soy sauce belongs on eggs!
Koharu: As long as whatever they fail to cover doesn’t end up as self-study material.
The door to the classroom opens yet again, and in steps a blonde woman with a distinctive blue butterfly ornament in her hair. She is wearing a black knit sweater and a white long skirt, causing some boys to immediately start muttering amongst themselves.
???: Good morning, class 3-2. I’m sure you’re all curious as to what just strolled in so how about you all take a seat, so I can properly introduce myself?
Hanako: (She visibly tenses as the air in the room briefly stands still, before returning to normal)
Shinju: (Under her breath) Oh boy…
Koharu: There’s just no getting rid of them, eh?
Anisa: My name is Mona Sakurauchi. I was hired as an art teacher, but I’ll also be your homeroom teacher for this year. Here’s hoping we can all get along!
Hanako: … No way…
